Sound Blaster Audigy Series Vista support pack
This pack of drivers and software turns into X-Fi Xtreme Audio, the following models of Creative soundcards, based on the P17 chipset:
- Audigy Value
- Audigy SE / Audigy 2 LS
- Audigy LS
- Live! 24-bit
It also supports and fixes some issues with the genuine X-Fi Xtreme Audio.
The following items will be installed:
- Drivers for Windows Vista v5.12.1.2008 / Windows XP v5.12.01.622
- ALchemy 1.20.04 (Vista only)
- Audio Console 2.55.07
- Console Launcher 2.60.29
- Host OpenAL 1.01.08 (Vista only)
- SoundFont Bank Manager 3.20.34 (XP only)
- several updated runtime files
Fixes and improvements:
- Fixes some issues with device features
- Implements new Creative installation routines
- Fixes Bass Redirection / Bass Boost issues on Vista
- Improves EAX performance on XP
- Improves OpenAL compatibility
Known issues:
1. WINDOWS SECURITY WARNING DURING DRIVER INSTALLATION
when prompted with "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software", choose "Install this driver software anyway".
2. CONSOLE LAUNCHER SHOWS 2 DIGITAL I/O ICONS IN WINDOWS XP
This is a minor cosmetic issue and will not be fixed.
3. X-FI CRYSTALIZER NOT AVAILABLE ON WINDOWS VISTA
To avoid issues with DRM protected content, Creative APO was not modified.
A standalone Crystalizer unlocker will be available later.
